Super Fighter is a fast paced versus fighting game for the PC. Its unique design
inspired several other fighting games which would later also appear for the PC,
as well as for videogame consoles such as the PC Engine and the Super A'can.
Developed by C&E, Inc. in Taiwan, Super Fighter was originally a commercial
game sold in Taiwan and exported in English under the name Fatal Encounter. However,
with full cooperation and support from C&E, the game was officially
reclassified as freeware by Super Fighter Team and as a result, is now available
for free download.

Downloads [back to top] |
|
This game is freeware and may be distributed for free so long as no files
within the archive are modified or removed.
Notes:
After Super Fighter's success in Taiwan, C&E translated the game into
English for export outside of the country. The English language version of
the game is titled Fatal Encounter, and features slightly different names
for some of the characters. However, all of the controls remain the same.
This game is programmed to operate in DOS. Therefore, it may not perform
as intended under the limited DOS support that Windows offers. Windows
users are instructed to make use of the DOSBox program in order to remedy
the problem. Linux users are also encouraged to try this option for the
best possible experience. DOSBox can be downloaded freely from dosbox.com.
DOS users may need to free up additional memory in order to play the game.
This can be accomplished by removing unnecessary memory-resident programs
from the boot files, creating a special boot disk which uses only a bare
bones system configuration or by employing a special memory manager such
as MEMMAKER or QEMM.
If the game runs too quickly, adjust your speed settings in DOSBox or make
use of a CPU slowdown utility such as Mo'Slo.
